Mark Lehmberg
Mark Lehmberg is the owner and photographic artist behind Lehmberg Photography. He was born in Austin, Texas and he and his family are residents of San Antonio.
He was given his first camera in 1980 as a Christmas present and immediately fell in love with capturing moments in time. At that time however, he was still in grade school and could'nt do much other than annoy his family with flash spots and goofy shots from an instant camera.
He went on to college a few years later and recieved his Bachelor's degree at Texas State University. While there, he would borrow his father's 35mm SLR occasionaly and experiment with photographing homes, monuments and friends. Still, only learning what didn't work due to inexperience.
He then traveled around the Midwest and Southern states for a few years trying to build a career and family. However, this would prove to be shortlived through circumstances and losses during this time period. He came back to Texas with a new perspective on how the past can be lost without the memories that pictures can capture. He began photographing the things in his life that meant the most to him: children, family and the places he would visit.
His education again took him away from Texas when he pursued a legal career. While out of state and away from his family, he was again reminded that life was precious and should be treasured, as well as commemorated. During his first year of law school Mark faced, and with faith, conquered cancer. Soon afterwards, he recieved his Juris Doctorate from William H. Bowen School of Law.
He moved back to Texas to begin his career in the law, but still remained dedicated to learning how to photograph the people and places around him more professionally. He invested in a 35mm SLR system of his own and began freelancing his services for church events and friends. His work has been viewed, critiqued and appreciated from admirers around the world.
With the addition of a digital system and a small client base, he was able to launch Lehmberg Photography in the spring of 2007. He has worked with several aspiring models and has helped preserve memories of numerous clients and couples. Most of all, he enjoys the work that he does.
